Alexi Hunter and Mariel Waddell Hunter are well known and respected in the world of contemporary craft. Graduates of the Hot Glass Forming program at Sheridan College School of Craft and Design, they have been working with glass together since 2003. Alexi and Mariel have become dedicated in producing work that is a combination of intriguing shapes, bold colours and texture.
Allowing the spontaneity of the glass to be the driving force behind their designs, Alexi and Mariel have created unique pieces that take advantage of the optical qualities of the glass. Always looking to explore and expand on their techniques, Alexi and Mariel are dedicated to creating one of a kind contemporary glass pieces that in their aesthetic and purpose will continue to hold meaning.
