Chris Albert is a self taught photographer, opening his first studio in 1990, shooting editorial and fashion. With a lot of experimentation and passion, he developed a distinctive way of seeing his subjects and interpreting his vision. Over the last 15 years he has fully dedicated his time to fine art photography, and his work is now held in many private and corporate collections.
Albert takes a fresh view on the everyday landscape, which can so often be seen as mundane and familiar, and gives it an ethereal quality, evoking a sense of liveliness and movement. Exposing the relationship between photographic depiction and visual perception through juxtaposition and layering, Albert creates imagery that visually expresses an abstract contemplation, creating an uplifting magical realism.
