Jamie is a landscape painter having made the transition from a Professional Engineer to his profession in 2005. After a 30 year career in design engineering, manufacturing management and consulting he found what his passion is. Surprisingly this change was prompted through a seminar series about operating an independent consulting business. One facilitator asked when we would embrace our individual dreams - “if not now, when”
While on a project out of town, living in a hotel, 4 or 5 nights a week, Jamie started painting at night and by the end of the project, his decision was made.
Jamie embraces energy and his pieces capture that sense of the outdoors. The intensity of colour, movement and feeling of well being. In creating his works he relives that experience, inviting the viewer to experience the same. His paintings are characterized with texture, big colours, shadows and a sense of movement.
