Marcela Rosemberg is an award-winning glass artist. The ocean and her Jewish faith are the main sources of inspiration in her sculptural and functional work. Art has been a part of her for as long as she can remember.
Finding glass as a medium of expression was truly a blessing. Glass was the key that opened the doors for her and her family when they arrived from Buenos Aires, Argentina by way of Prince Edward Island. Though she relocated to Toronto, Ontario, her colours and designs are heavily influenced by the east coast.
Beauty, simplicity, elegance and functionality are essential components in her designs. Marcela treats glass as if it were a human being, this allows her to understand its flow, displacement and behavior. “Each time a piece leaves my studio I feel a little bit of my soul is going with it”
