Talila Abraham’s designs are inspired by the history of women and handcraft, and merge the unique personal and romantic feeling of traditional fabrics with contemporary materials and today’s technology. Her works reflect the desire to preserve the special and personal touch that was an integral part of all handcrafted objects historically. Despite the use of industrial materials and technology, her pieces retain their authenticity due to the handmade process applied to each item. In the transition from the "language" and texture of fabric to the rigidity of stainless steel, she creates an art form that marries the old and the new.
Talila has a M.Sc in Management Design from the Technion Israeli institute of Technology in Haifa and a B.Sc.T.E in Industrial Design from the Holon Academic Institute of Technology in Israel.
