The Talmudic verse relates to the match between a man and a woman as two separate entities who are predestined to meet. Much like the stalagmite and the stalactite. Stalagmites in the Jerusalem Mountain Sorek Cave have been growing for years, often creating stalactites that rise up from the ground opposite them. In this case, they almost touch together and form a long column, that will thicken over the years.
